Keyboard Beginnings

KEYBOARD BEGINNINGS IS A GROUP KEYBOARD/PIANO PROGRAM FOR CHILD PLUS PARENT (AGES 4-8)
Children learn to play the keyboard/piano in a relaxed positive atmosphere. Children attend classes each week with their parents and enjoy many activities together. The lesson includes singing with guitar, dance and movement activities, music appreciation, ear training, musical games, notation and rhythm reading. Children also experience playing many different instruments in class such as autoharps and xylophones.

THE KEYBOARD BEGINNINGS curriculum was written and composed by singer/pianist Judy Kagel. Having over 35 years experience, she has an extensive background as an accomplished music teacher of private and group keyboard lessons. Her goal is to develop in each student the beginning of a life-long appreciation of music and the pleasure of performing for one’s own enjoyment.

Keyboard Beginnings is now in its twelfth year of existence and has been classroom tested with over 400 students in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

For more information or to enroll in the Keyboard Beginnings program at the Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts, please contact us by phone at 732.617.1124 or e-mail info@monmouthacademy.com.
